The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services said on Monday it is making available more than $281 million in grant funding opportunities across 15 programs aimed at addressing addiction, overdose and mental illness.
The funding opportunities, announced by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), will support programs focused on substance use disorder treatment, suicide prevention, trauma care, recovery services, workforce development and training for first responders.
